South View Accommodation

On the ground floor there is an entrance lobby opening into a living room/kitchen. The first thing you see is the magnificent stone fireplace and breadoven, now containing an inglenook multi-fuel burning stove, that can be used to augment the underfloor central heating. All heating costs are included in the rental price, including logs for the fire. The carpeted living area has a flat screen TV with Sky, DVD player, music centre/radio and books and board games, as well as comfortable settee and armchair. There is a good selection of local information and maps for our guests use.

The fully equipped, kitchen has a high level oven, ceramic hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and fridge and a good range of kitchen equipment. The washing machine is in the separate utility room, which also offers room for drying, with use of a heated clothes rail, and storage. There is a dining table that seats four and a high chair is available.

On the first floor there is an ensuite double bedroom, with zip locked bed allowing the choice of double or twin beds. (Please let us know your choice beforehand) - Plenty of towels, all duvets and bedlinen are included in the rental price. The room is large enough for you to sit by the window and survey the stunning view down the dale. There is an area off the double bedroom suitable for a travel cot (please let us know if you would like to use this and bring your own cot linen). The single bedroom, with its own entrance from the landing, is also ensuite to the bathroom. The bathroom is, in fact, a shower room, offering a mains pressure shower in a large 750x1200 shower tray and a heated towel rail. A baby bath is also available.

Outside. At the front, there is a flagged patio area with wooden bench so you can sit quietly and enjoy the pretty cottage garden and unspoilt views up and down the dale. The cottage is set back from the road, overlooking Low Row Common. In the peaceful back garden there is another patio area with garden table and chairs, where you may sit and enjoy the evening sunshine, surrounded by fields often grazed by sheep. Parking for the cottage is close by and we can provide cycle storage.
